January started off fantastic!!! Then went a little downhill towards the end. Thank goodness for my favorites blogpost because it has helped me focus and remember the good of this month and not the bad!!! So let's start with my....
Favorite App:
Luvocracy is the new Pinterest. Don't get me wrong it does not replace Pinterest but it does take all of the wonderful things you see from Pinterest and more and makes them buyable with a touch of a button. It functions very similarly, instead of Boards you have Collections, instead of pins you have luvs, and instead of seeing something you like and trying to track down where you can get it from with half of the time being totally depressed that you couldn't find it anywhere, this allows you to purchase it right on that same page. Luvocracy finds the cheapest selling price for the product. When you sign up you also get $10 credit to spend. Come join the world of LUV and trust my page!Favorite Candle:
The Champagne Toast Candle from Bath and Body Works and is seriously the best candle I have ever smelled in my life!!!! I got this candle in October and given the title decided to wait till the new year to start burning it! It made my room smell amazing!!! Unfortunately, I can't find it in Bath & Body Work stores but fortunately they are still available on my Luvocracy page, as will most of my other favorites will be, if they are not on my Luvocrary page there will be a link that leads you the where you can find it!
Favorite TV Show:
After getting super ill in December, the beginning of January was a nice recovery month filled with the wonderful show of Friday Night Lights!!! I tried to give this show a shot when it first started and never got into it but my brother told me to give it a second chance recently, I did and I don't regret it!! Seriously such a good show!! Love the character and the reality of Football in Texas, some people love and some people hate that it is like that but it doesn't matter because that is the way it will always be!!
Favorite Books:
My best friend Falon knows how much I love to read and decided to give me the Fifty Shades of Grey book for Christmas. I tried to read it once before and couldn't quite get into the story, but decided I would give it a second try and second tries must do the trick for me!!! It was still a rough beginning for me, then I was weirded out somewhere in the middle and then I was hooked!!! Fifty Shades Darker in my opinion was the best of the three! It shows in my opinion a relationship with the best balance of lust and love, control and compromise! Fifty Shades Freed was wonderful as well but I felt it was a little bit rushed, but I am not a fan of breaks in books where time passes. It was still a great book and I didn't want it to end, I especially loved the excerpt at the end that told the beginning from Christian's view!!! I am not at all a fan of rewriting books from a different point of view, but this book is an exception!!! I know E. L. James wants to tell different stories but I hope she comes back to the Fifty Shades world and expands upon this amazing story!
Favorite Stuffed Animal:
I know what a weird favorite BUT this stuffed animal gave me great comfort last month during many nights and even days of need. My best friends Sarah sent me the most wonderful box of goodies for Christmas!!! I loved absolutely everything in it, more will be in future favorites but this Build-a-Bear boyfriend named after my huge actor crush Jamie Bower is the cutest and most wonderful thing I have ever gotten!!! Thank you Sarah you are the best!!
Favorite Nail Products:
My two favorite nail products for January are the Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil and the Essie No Baggage Please Nail Lacquer. The Essie Apricot Oil smells amazing and greatly nourishes your nails. Cuticle oil is essential for stronger, healthier, and natural looking nails. The Essie No Baggage Please is the most beautiful pink, opaque color (thank you Sarah again!).
Favorite Calender:
I am so glad my family and friends know me so well!!! That has to be a good thing! Along with my Christmas package from my friend came this amazing Mortal Instruments calender that hangs on my wall near my desk. I think the thing I love most about it besides that Jamie Campbell Bower is featured in 6 out of the 12 months is the runes that are throughout the calender!!! If you are as in love with The Mortal Instrument series as I am get yours at Calendars.com!
Favorite Scent:
The Marc Jacobs Honey scent is an energetic, alluring, and beautiful floral scent in the most perfect bottle. It is a perfect daytime scent! My only hope is when summer comes in Texas is I don't attract Bee's to my Honey!
Favorite Music:
Tori Kelly-Dear No One
Zendaya-Replay
The Saturdays- What About Us
Mandisa- Overcomer
If you haven't had the best January, OVERCOME and make February the best month of 2014!
